Dr. Beth Shelton

Our patients tell us that having Dr. Shelton as their dentist has made a difference in how they feel about regular dental care. She makes it a point to put each person at ease, and is dedicated to making your experience comfortable. Dr. Shelton’s unique style of listening helps her determine how to best solve your dental problems. Her training and education give her an excellent platform to resolve even your most difficult dental concerns, including intense fear.
After earning her Bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University, Dr. Shelton graduated with her Doctorate of Dentist Medicine from the University of Mississippi. During her studies, she received several awards for technical skill. She lives in Tupelo, and serves the dental needs of all of north Mississippi. Dr. Shelton enjoys being a part of this rich community and giving of her time to improve it. She and her husband, along with their three sons, attend Harrisburg Baptist Church where she teaches Sunday school. She volunteers her time to various dental mission organizations.
Dr. Shelton has received numerous awards and commendations for her excellence in dentistry and uses her expertise to serve as a mentor to students at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She has also been selected to serve as the President of the Mississippi Chapter of the American Association of Women Dentists for the 2011 fiscal year. (http://www.aawd.org/)

Dr. William Hood

Dr William Hood has been practicing dentistry in Tupelo since 1990. He’s a favorite of many of our patients for his calm, caring demeanor. A native of Calhoun City, Dr. Hood is a graduate of Delta State University and the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. He and his wife Rebecca love living in North Mississippi.
Dr. Hood has spent countless hours perfecting his skills in dentistry, and has earned both a fellowship and a Master status in the Academy of General Dentistry. These honorary designations require classroom and clinical study in addition to daily practice. Dr. Hood is a proud member of the American Dental Association and the Mississippi Dental Association.

Donna, our lead assistant, is the right hand of both doctors. She prepares for procedures in advance, seats patients, goes over post-operative instructions and comforts people who are nervous. She's known as a great listener and is perfectly in turn with our patient's needs. If you have any restorative work completed in our office, Donna will be by your side (not pictured).

Our Practice

Appointments

We will be more than happy to submit all insurance forms for you and help you recover the most from your benefits. We will do everything we can to help you afford the treatment you need and want. For patients who require major work, a complete payment plan is designed with an appropriate payment schedule. Forms of payment accepted by the office are check, cash, or any major credit card.

Cancellation

If you are unable to keep an appointment, we ask that you kindly provide us with at least 24 hours’ notice. We ask for this advance notice so that we can offer this appointment to another patient. A fee may be charged if a patient does not show up for an appointment without sufficient notice. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for choosing our practice for your dental care.
